Promoting Independence Partnership Project

The Promoting Independence Partnership Project (PIPP) is designed to put older people in contact with a wide range of services to support them in maintaining independence at home and finding new opportunities in their own communities.

Our locally-based, friendly staff can help with information on:

  • Access to community services
  • Housing issues
  • Aids and adaptions
  • Benefits advice
  • Home safety and practical help available to reduce the risk of accidents and falls
  • Home security
  • Hire of mobility and other equipment
  • Health and well-being
  • .....and much more

How to use the service

  • Contact PIPP directly
  • Referrals can also be made (with the client's permission) via a carer, Social Worker, relative, friend, District Nurse, or other health care professional
  • Home visits can be arranged, if appropriate, by appointment. (NB Our staff will NEVER visit without first making an appointment).
