Age Concern North West Cumbria

Aid-Call

Aid-Call is a personal SOS system, approved by Age Concern, which summons emergency help within seconds. It is simple to use and no more trouble to wear than a wristwatch. If anything should go wrong, you know you are not alone.

Help is at hand 24 hours a day

If you have any kind of accident or feel ill, at any time of day or night, you simply press your emergency button. The button is fully waterproof and can be worn in the bath or shower. It will work from anywhere in your home or garden.

How does it work?

  1. You will be asked to select two or more people as key holders - usually family, friends or neighbours - who you can rely on to come to your aid in an emergency.
  2. Just press your button and within seconds you will be linked to the Emergency Response Centre, where the Aid-Call operators are waiting to help.
  3. Even if you cannot speak they will know who is calling and help will soon be on its way.
  4. Your key holders will be their first port of call, but if these are unavailable, or where it would be more appropriate (e.g. if you need an ambulance), they will call in the emergency services.

In all cases, the operator will stay on the line until you are in safe hands.

How much does it cost?

As Aid-Call is provided by Age Concern, charges are kept as low as possible. Any profits go straight back to support Age Concern.

There are no waiting lists or any complicated forms to fill in.

We will arrange a free demonstration in your home, with no pressure to buy. You might like to ask a relative or friend to come along too and get their opinion.
