Welcome to Age Concern North West Cumbria
We are an independent local charity, working in the districts of Copeland and Allerdale to improve the quality of life for all older people in our community. We have the support of over 300 dedicated volunteers, who help us to raise funds and to provide a wide range of services from care for the vulnerable to opportunities for the more active retired. As a full member of the National Council on Ageing, we are also part of the national Age Concern movement, which supports us with information and research and takes a leading role in campaigning to influence government policy and to bring about lasting change. |

As a charity, we rely very much on the support of the local community for all the work that we do: the organisations, companies and individuals who help to provide funding for our services, and the volunteers who give so much of their time. Age Concern exists to promote the well being of all older people and their carers and to make later life a fullfilling and enjoyable experience |
